It's a type of die struck pins with sandblash process.
It is an all-metal llok without color. 
Made with a brilliant polished raised and matte textured recessed area.

3D or cut out pins.
It is called die cast. It allows for more dimensiional detail compared to striking.
Great for cutout leetering, faces and designs with intricate outer shapes. 

Antique pins

The recessed area stay dark while the raised areas are polished to a lighter tone of metal.
